Antenna 4 has returned to the WBCQ program schedule. This music show can now be heard Fridays from 6 to 7pm US eastern time (2200-2300 UTC) on WBCQ 7.415 MHz.

WBCQ Joins the Gulf Rescue Campaign

“The British Petroleum (BP) deep-sea oil breach in the Gulf of Mexico is turning into the largest and most destructive oil spill in history. It is a priority emergency and a massive assault on a major marine ecosystem. While BP may be morally and legally responsible for causing this disaster, it is impractical and unwise to leave the rescue of all marine life in the Gulf to a private corporation. We all need to come together to address this, and we need to do it quickly.” – The Sea Shepherd Society

WBCQ is joining the Gulf Rescue Campaign in association with the Sea Shepherd Society to assist in the Gulf disaster rescue operation. We need your support now to outfit our flagship, the M/S Katie, to assist in the Gulf disaster rescue operation.

Good Friends Radio Network returns, daily 9am-9pm (1300-0100 UTC), on 9330
The Overcomer Ministry returns, Saturday-Thursday 8pm-11pm (0000-0300) and Friday 9pm-11pm (0100-0300), on 7415

The Area 51 schedule has changed a little, as we re-adjust to the summer season:

Pirates Week with Ragnar Daneskjold moves from Sunday 6pm to Sunday 10pm (0200) on 5110
The International Radio Report moves from Sunday 6:30pm to Sunday 10:30pm (0230) on 5110
The Lumpy Gravy Radio Show moves from Saturday 8pm to Saturday 6pm (2200) on 5110

We’ve updated the signal coverage and propagation maps for each of the WBCQ shortwave transmitters here on our web site. Signal coverage for each transmitter is shown in a full color graphical display over a map of North America. The maps show predicted signal coverage for the month of June, 2010.

Greetings from Kulpsville! We will be doing live broadcasting from the 23rd annual SWL Winterfest today and tomorrow via WBCQ 5.110 MHz. Our schedule is as follows:

Saturday, March 6: 5pm – 1am (2200-0600 UTC)

Area 51 Schedule Changes

Area 51 on WBCQ will be dropping all weekday programming starting Monday, February 1, 2010. We really hate to do this, but we aren’t able to sustain the programming given the level of support received to date. We will continue weekend programming on WBCQ 5.110 MHz, from 6pm to 10pm US eastern time Saturdays (2300 to 0300 UTC) and Sundays from 5pm to 10pm eastern time Sundays (2200 to 0300 UTC).
