Schedule Updates for December 2009
Here are the latest schedule updates from the Planet. We welcome aboard a couple of new music shows.
- Area 51 is shifting its weekday programming block an hour earlier for the winter season. Effective November 23, Area 51 will be on from 7 to 9PM US eastern time (0000-0200 UTC) on WBCQ 5.110 MHz. The detailed Area 51 program schedule is found at www.worldmicroscope.com.
- Bluegrass State of Mind is going on hiatus. The last show will be Friday, December 4, 2009, at 6PM eastern time (2300 UTC) on WBCQ 7.415
- Ramseys Roadhouse, Mondays 6-630PM eastern time (2300-2330 UTC) on WBCQ 7.415 starting Monday, December 7, 2009
- Sparky Vision, Mondays 7-8PM eastern time (0000-0100 UTC) on WBCQ 7.415Â starting Monday, December 14, 2009
- Lumpy Gravy Radio Show, Wednesdays 7-8PM eastern time (0000-0100 UTC) on WBCQ 7.415Â starting Wednesday, December 16, 2009
- Ody Slims Music Hour, Fridays 6-7PM eastern time (2300-0000 UTC) on WBCQ 7.415 starting Friday, December 11, 2009

Thanksgiving and Christmas Radio
One of our annual traditions here at WBCQ is Dr. Becker’s holiday old time radio webcast. Once again, we’re pleased to bring the best of classic radio to you, 24 hours a day, on the ‘net.
Schedule Changes on WBCQ 7415
We are re-arranging some of our programming in order to save costs at WBCQ. This impacts the air times of many programs in our weekend blocks on WBCQ 7.415. Here are the schedule changes, effective Saturday, November 7, 2009:
- Marion’s Attic moves from Saturday 5 PM eastern time on 7.415 MHz to Sunday 5 PM eastern time on 7.415 MHz
- WGOD Presents moves from Saturday 6 PM eastern time on 7.415 MHz to Sunday 6 PM eastern time on 7.415 MHz
- The Lumpy Gravy Radio Show moves from Saturday 7 PM eastern time on 7.415 MHz to Monday 7 PM eastern time on 7.415 MHz (Note that Lumpy Gravy and Timtron will remain on Saturday 7 PM and 8 PM respectively, on 5.110 MHz only.)
- Radio Timtron Worldwide moves from Saturday 8 PM eastern time on 7.415 MHz to Tuesday 7 PM eastern time on 7.415 MHz
- Radio Short Bus moves form Saturday 4 PM eastern time on 7415 MHz to Sunday 2 PM on 7.415 MHz
- The Last Roundup moves from Sunday 6 PM on 7.415 to Friday 3 PM on 7.415 MHz. This displaces World of Radio and Amos And Andy that was previously in this time slot.
Note that these schedule changes will result in WBCQ 7.415 MHz being dark on Saturdays, with the exception of The Overcomer Ministry, which remains on from 9 PM to 11 PM.
One more programming change of note:
- The Secular Bible Study has ended it’s run on WBCQ. It’s time slot, Monday 9-10 PM eastern time, is being taken by The Overcomer Ministry.

Classic Rebroadcasts of Trailer Trash Radio
Freddie tells us to tune in to Trailer Trash Radio, Sunday at 3 PM eastern time on WBCQ 7.415 MHz, as the classic first six episodes will air starting Sunday, November 1, 2009.
Radio Short Bus – Saturdays on WBCQ
We are pleased to announce Radio ShortBus, starting Saturday, October 24, 2009, from 4-5pm eastern time, on WBCQ 7.415 MHz. This is a live show hosted by Candy and co-host Phil. Coffee with Barbie Live
Thanks to the encouraging feedback from our listeners, WBCQ is pleased to announce Barbie’s show, Coffee with Barbie Live, will start this Thursday, September 17, from 7:30 to 8:00 PM eastern United States time on WBCQ 7.415 MHz.
Hydro Amnesty Bash – Friday on WBCQ 9330
This just in from Tony Currie at Radio Six International. WBCQ will air this special programming on 9.330 MHz from 1900 to 0100 UTC (3PM to 9PM United States eastern time) on Friday, August 28, 2009.
Just a ‘heads up’; on Friday we’re broadcasting six hours of live music from one of the smallest music festivals in Scotland, the “Hydro Amnesty Bash” in aid of Amnesty international.  While the big stations cover the massive festivals (Like T in the Park and Glastonbury) we’re heading for the tiny island of Lismore in the Inner Hebrides where seven local bands(plus open mic sessions) will play everything from rock to jazz; pop to ceilidh.
Feel free to use any of the broadcast if you need to fill any gaps.  The live event starts on radio six international (www.radiosix.com) at 19:00 GMT on Friday and continues until 01:00 GMT.  It’s also being carried by a Glasgow AM station and our FM affiliate in New Zealand.

Area 51 Expands Airtime on WBCQ
Thanks to David Hargrave, our kind benefactor, we are pleased to announce that Area 51 programming on WBCQ The Planet is expanding seven hours a week for the next two weeks. The expanded Area 51 schedule, effective Monday, June 8, 2009, is as follows:
- Monday through Friday : 7PM to 10PM US Eastern time (2300 to 0200 UTC)
- Saturday: 6PM to 10PM US Eastern Time (2200 to 0200 UTC)
- Sunday: 6PM to 8PM US Eastern Time (2200 to 0000 UTC)
