Greetings from Kulpsville! We will be doing live broadcasting from the 23rd annual SWL Winterfest today and tomorrow via WBCQ 5.110 MHz. Our schedule is as follows:
We will be available on the internet on our regular Area 51 webcast at www.splatterbox.us:5110.
Area 51 on WBCQ will be dropping all weekday programming starting Monday, February 1, 2010. We really hate to do this, but we aren’t able to sustain the programming given the level of support received to date. We will continue weekend programming on WBCQ 5.110 MHz, from 6pm to 10pm US eastern time Saturdays (2300 to 0300 UTC) and Sundays from 5pm to 10pm eastern time Sundays (2200 to 0300 UTC).
Area 51 is listener supported, free form, free speech radio. If you like our programming and would like to help us stay on the air, you can donate via PayPal at www.worldmicroscope.com, or send your contributions to:
Area 51, 28723 Ridge Road, Mount Airy, Maryland 21771-4436 USA
Thanks!
Allan tells us that he’ll be live on UStream again, starting this evening, January 8, 2010, at 8pm eastern time (0100 UTC) on the Allan Weiner Worldwide video channel. You can also catch Mal Fuller’s Antique Radio Corner video channel live during the show.
Here’s Allan’s recent restoration project, as described on the January 1, 2010 and January 8, 2010 episodes of Allan Weiner Worldwide.
Once again, we’re welcoming in the new year with extended hours and special programming on New Year’s Eve 2009 on Area 51. Join us from 9PM to 1AM United States eastern time on Thursday evening (0200 to 0600 UTC January 1) on WBCQ 5.110 MHz for fun, music, and merriment. If conditions are poor in your area, you can also listen to us on the internet. Hope to hear from you!
We’ve started adding a huge library of recorded broadcasts from The Fred Flintstone Radio Show to a new site on our Radio New York International archive server. Check out the archives here:
On Saturday, December 5, from 2PM to 5PM US Eastern Time (1900-2200 UTC), tune into WBCQ 7.415 MHz for a special MUFON UFO conference live broadcast, produced by Ted Randall.
