Updated Signal Coverage Maps

We’ve updated the signal coverage and propagation maps for each of the WBCQ shortwave transmitters here on our web site. Signal coverage for each transmitter is shown in a full color graphical display over a map of North America. The maps show predicted signal coverage for the month of June, 2010.

Allan’s videocast returns January 8

Allan tells us that he’ll be live on UStream again, starting this evening, January 8, 2010, at 8pm eastern time (0100 UTC) on the Allan Weiner Worldwide video channel. You can also catch Mal Fuller’s Antique Radio Corner video channel live during the show.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Radio

One of our annual traditions here at WBCQ is Dr. Becker’s holiday old time radio webcast. Once again, we’re pleased to bring the best of classic radio to you, 24 hours a day, on the ‘net.

11 Years and Going Strong

Today marks the eleventh anniversary of the first official broadcast from WBCQ. Thanks to all of our valued listeners and programmers for your support over the years!

Here are some current items of interest to the WBCQ community.

  • Our online programming archive is growing. We now have past episodes of Allan Weiner Worldwide dating back to 2007 avaliable online, and more are coming soon.
  • We have large blocks of available airtime for your free speech programming. On WBCQ 7.415, we have Monday through Thursday, from 7PM to 8PM United States Eastern time (2300-0000 UTC) available. On WBCQ 5.110 and 9.330, we have available airtime in large blocks, daytime and nighttime. We can work with you to find air time that fits your schedule and budget.
